Hyderabad, Jul 13 (PTI) The Telangana government on Monday launched the National Deworming Day campaign under which Albendazole tablets would be administered to people in the 1 -19 age group to protect them from intestinal worm infections.
State Health Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha kicked off the programme at the government high school at Lok Bhavan here.
He said the government aims to administer Albendazole tablets to 96.81 lakh people through Anganwadi Centres, schools and colleges.
The mop-up day will be on July 20 to ensure that no eligible child is left behind.
He appealed to all parents, teachers and educational institutions to join hands with us and ensure that every eligible child receives the deworming tablet. PTI SJR SJR ADB
