Lucknow, Jul 13 (PTI) Senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Supriya Sule on Monday expressed her grief over the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ayodhya Ram temple. Sule, while attending the Joint Parliamentary Committee study tour on One Nation, One Election in Lucknow, told reporters, "Lord Ram is very important for us in whom we repose our faith. From Ayodhya to Ujjain are places of devotion for us. If corruption takes place here, then is it correct?" Sule, who is Lok Sabha MP from Maharashtra's Baramati, added that allegations of corruption were levelled against the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and the BJP called them corrupt, but nothing could be proved. Speaking on the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, she said that she felt "sad". On the visit of the Joint Parliamentary Committee, Sule said that discussions are underway, the committee is visiting various states, and taking suggestions. PTI NAV SHS SHS
