SI shoots self in Delhi police station

New Delhi, Jul 13 (PTI) A Delhi Police sub-inspector died allegedly by suicide after shooting himself with his service revolver inside Madhu Vihar police station in east Delhi on Monday, sources said. The deceased was identified as 2019-batch Sub-Inspector Somesh Meena, the police sources said. According to preliminary information, the incident took place around 12.15 pm when he allegedly shot himself with his service weapon inside the Madhu Vihar Police Station. Senior police officers, the crime team and forensic teams reached the spot and began an investigation. Police said the circumstances that led to the alleged suicide are being ascertained.
