Landslide disrupts traffic movement on NH 10

Gangtok, Jul 13 (PTI) A landslide near Bagpul on National Highway 10 on Monday disrupted vehicular traffic movement from West Bengal's Siliguri to Gangtok, an official said. Authorities have deployed machinery and personnel to clear the landslide debris at Bagpul around 24 km from Siliguri, they said. A massive traffic congestion has been reported with hundreds of vehicles stranded on National Highway 10, which connects Gangtok, the capital of the Himalayan state, with Siliguri in West Bengal due to the landslide at Bagpul, officials said. Commuters have been urged to remain patient, follow instructions from traffic personnel, and avoid non-essential travel through the affected route until the situation improves, they added. PTI COR RG
