What you get
Subsidy of 15-35% of project cost (varies by category and location): General in urban 15%, General in rural 25%, SC/ST/Women/OBC/Minorities/PH/Ex-servicemen/Hill area/Border area: 25% urban, 35% rural. Project cost: up to ₹50 lakh for manufacturing, ₹20 lakh for service sector. Own contribution: 5-10%. Remaining as bank loan. No upper limit on income.
Who can apply
Indian citizens above 18 years, SC/ST/Women/OBC/Minorities/Ex-servicemen/disabled persons get higher subsidy
For: New entrepreneurs, artisans, unemployed youth, women, SC/ST, minorities
Age: 18+
- Minimum VIII standard pass for projects above ₹10 lakh
- No income limit
- Existing units and those with prior government subsidy not eligible
- Only new projects
