Two killed in lightning strike in Jharkhand’s Latehar

Latehar (Jharkhand), Jul 16 (PTI) Two persons died after being struck by lightning in Jharkhand’s Latehar district on Thursday afternoon, police said. The incident happened at Bajkum under Sadar police station limits when the two were standing under a tree during the rain. The deceased were identified as Piyush Kumar (20) and Pawan Kumar (18). Sadar police station in-charge Ramakant Gupta said they were taken to the Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. The bodies were sent for postmortem examination. A friend of the deceased youth said that the two were going to the Navodaya Vidyalaya for some work when they were struck by lightning. PTI COR SAN SAN NN
