Security guard robbed in Delhi's Rohini; 4 juveniles held

New Delhi, Jul 8 (PTI) A security guard was allegedly robbed by four juveniles who intercepted him while he was returning home after work in Delhi's Rohini area, an official said on Wednesday. According to the police, they solved the case and apprehended all the accused, the officer said. The incident took place on Monday night near Sector-23 in Rohini when the victim, employed as a security guard, was on his way home after completing his shift. "The four accused, riding on a motorcycle, stopped the victim. One of them allegedly threatened and assaulted him with an iron rod before robbing him of his mobile phone, cash and a bag containing his security guard uniform," the officer said. Based on the victim's complaint, an FIR was registered at Begumpur police station. Police said a team launched an investigation immediately after the case was reported. Acting on technical surveillance, the team traced the suspects and apprehended four juveniles on the same night. During questioning, the juveniles confessed to their involvement in the crime. The police recovered the robbed cash, the victim's mobile phone, his bag containing the uniform, the iron rod allegedly used to threaten and assault the victim. Further investigation is underway.
