Rainfall likely across Arunachal Pradesh over next few days

Itanagar, May 25 (PTI) Widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely in Arunachal Pradesh over the next few days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The IMD has issued an 'orange alert' (be prepared) for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in Lower Siang district on Monday, while a ‘yellow alert’ (be aware) was sounded for several districts, including Papum Pare, West Siang, East Siang, Upper Subansiri, Longding, Tirap and Namsai. Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across many parts of the state are also likely on Tuesday and Wednesday, it said. People residing near rivers, landslide-prone areas and hilly stretches have been advised to exercise caution during the period of adverse weather. PTI UPL UPL RBT
