New Delhi, Jul 11 (PTI) A proclaimed offender wanted in connection with a Rs 60 lakh cheating case was arrested from the domestic terminal of the Indira Gandhi International Airport, police said on Saturday. The accused, identified as Mukesh Kumar (39), a resident of Greater Noida, had been evading judicial proceedings after being declared a proclaimed offender by a Delhi court in July last year, they said. Acting on specific information, a team from the IP Estate police station conducted a raid at the airport on Friday and apprehended Kumar before he could leave, police said. According to police, Kumar was wanted in an FIR registered at IP Estate police station alleging cheating, forgery and using forged documents. He had been declared a proclaimed offender on July 25, 2025, after repeatedly failing to appear during court proceedings, police added. Further legal proceedings are underway. PTI BM PRK
