Beed, Jul 11 (PTI) An 81-year-old man’s gold chain worth nearly Rs 2.4 lakh was allegedly stolen while he attended a religious procession in Maharashtra’s Beed district, police said on Saturday. The senior citizen, Subhash Bhagwanrao Dongre, was participating in the Gajanan Maharaj palanquin procession in the Sathe Chowk area of Ambajogai town on Friday when he lost the valuable item, they said. Based on his complaint, police have registered a theft case and launched a probe, an official said. PTI COR NR
