Agartala, Jul 11 (PTI) Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was upbeat over the success of the two-day 'Destination Tripura' business conclave, which attracted Rs 1.21 lakh crore investment proposals.
Addressing a programme, he said the event, which concluded on Friday, saw the participation of 1,200 investors.
"The two-day business conclave attracted Rs 1.21 lakh crore investment proposals through the signing of 342 MoUs... This is beyond our expectations... Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi is upbeat over the success of the mega event," he said.
"A healthy competition is underway among the northeastern states as far as development and growth are concerned. The days are not far when Tripura will be a leading state not only in the region but also in the entire nation," he said.
Saha said his state government is working on an ambitious project to digitise the entire healthcare system to make it paperless.
"Under the mission, a patient would not need to show his or her prescription at government hospitals. A digital health card will be created against his or her Aadhaar number and one click will open the patient's physical history and past treatment status," he said. PTI PS ACD
