Srinagar, Jul 7 (PTI) All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) on Tuesday expressed concern over government inaction in alleged arson attacks on Sikh properties in the Karnah area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.
APSCC chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said action is imperative to expose subversive elements of the society.
"Members of both the majority Muslim community and minority Sikh community have been living in harmony in the village since time immemorial," Singh said, adding that some people want to create a wedge between the two communities and asking people to avoid it.
"In an incident on the night of June 30, two cars and a motorcycle belonging to two Sikhs were burnt by some divisive elements. Before this, a house was set on fire by these people; damages were caused to other things as well," the APSCC chairman said.
He said that even though the station house officer concerned visited the village, that was not enough. PTI MIJ RUK RUK
