Shimla, June 9 (PTI) The disciplinary committee of the HPCC on Tuesday cautioned Congress leaders and workers and said indiscipline will attract stern action against them. The committee held its first meeting after its constitution on March 28 and following a spate of allegations levelled by former Congress MLA Neeraj Bharti, who is also the son of state Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar. Bharti resigned as the vice president of the Himachal Pradesh Congress committee (HPCC) last week and following his comments against the party and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, faces a six-year expulsion for anti-party activities. The disciplinary committee endorsed the decision to expel him at the meeting. The now-expelled leader, in a series of posts and videos on social media, alleged irregularities in processing contractors' payments in the state. He also claimed that five briefcases full of currency are collected monthly, with two kept locally and three sent to leaders in Delhi. MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore, who heads the disciplinary committee, told reporters that indiscipline would be dealt with firm hand and warned party leaders and workers that going to press or posting comments on social media regarding internal issues of the party would be construed as indiscipline, drawing strict action. "If any worker or leader has any grievance against a leader or office-bearer, he or she should place it before the HPCC or the disciplinary committee, but going to media or social media would attract disciplinary action," he added. Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, MLAs Ashish Butail, Anuradha Rana and Hardeep Singh Baba attended the meeting, while Bhawani Singh Pathania joined the meeting virtually, Rathore said.
