Nahan (HP), Jun 19 (PTI) A Muslim rights outfit here submitted a memorandum to police demanding action against a person for allegedly posting adverse remarks on the Quran on social media.
Dozens of people from the community met the Sirmaur Superintendent of Police Nishchint Singh Negi here and handed him the memorandum.
Speaking to the media afterwards, Anjuman Islamia president Bobby Ahmed said he had posted a message from the Quran on a social networking site on Thursday, and one person wrote abusive remarks in comments.
He warned that if the individual responsible is not arrested immediately, the Muslim community would launch a major agitation. PTI COR BPL VN VN
