Haryana sets 10-day deadline for online transfer policy rollout

Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi

Editorial

Chandigarh, Jul 9 (PTI) Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has directed all departments to complete preparations for implementing the state's new Model Online Transfer Policy, 2026, within 10 days. The policy replaces the 2025 transfer policy and aims to ensure transparent, merit-based and technology-driven transfers of government employees. Departments have been asked to update employee records in the Human Resource Management System (HRMS), appoint nodal officers and verify service details before the first online transfer drive, an official statement said here on Thursday. The National Informatics Centre has been directed to complete the development and deployment of the online transfer software within the stipulated period. The government has also instructed medical institutions to issue disability and medical certificates within three days, wherever applicable, so eligible employees can claim benefits under the transfer policy. Boards and corporations have been asked to adopt the new transfer policy or revise their existing policies on similar lines. The government warned that furnishing false information or trying to influence the transfer process would invite disciplinary action. PTI VSD APL APL
