GOC visits forward areas in Kargil, Drass sectors, reviews operational preparedness

Leh/Jammu, Jul 8 (PTI) General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army's Fire and Fury Corps unit, Lieutenant General Madanraj Pande, visited forward areas in the Drass, Kargil and Biamah sectors in Ladakh on Wednesday to review operational preparedness and combat-readiness in the challenging high-altitude terrain.
During the visit to the Forever in Operations division, the corps commander interacted with the troops deployed in the forward areas and commended them for their grit, resilience and unwavering commitment while operating under demanding operational conditions, the Fire and Fury Corps said on X.
Lt Gen. Pande exhorted all ranks to maintain the highest standards of vigilance and combat-readiness along the Line of Control (LoC), underscoring the Army's continued focus on operational preparedness in the strategically-important Ladakh sector.
The visit comes amid sustained deployment of troops in the high-altitude region, where the Army maintains a high level of operational readiness to effectively respond to any security challenge. PTI AB RC
