Kota, Jul 8 (PTI) A man died and 15 others were injured after two families of Delhi Jal Board employees in a tourist mini van were hit by a dumper on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway here on Wednesday, police said. The families were returning from the Mahakal temple in Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh). The accident occurred around 4 am near the Jalimpura Interchange under Sultanpur police station, just hours before Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari's scheduled inspection of the expressway, they said. The deceased has been identified as Charan Singh (50), a resident of Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh, while four of them, who sustained critical injuries, were referred for further treatment, Sahu said. The rest of the passengers who suffered with minor injuries were discharged after primary treatment, he added. The dumper truck has been seized, while its driver fled the scene after the crash. Police have launched a search to trace and arrest him. PTI COR SMV APL
