New Delhi, Jul 16 (PTI) The Delhi University campus witnessed performances and presentations on Thursday as physical trials for the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) quota for undergraduate admissions commenced across colleges, with more than 240 candidates appearing on the first day.
The trials, which will continue till July 25, are being conducted as part of the university's admission process under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for the 2026-27 academic session.
According to university officials, around 80 candidates appeared for the Hindi debate trials at Ramjas College, around 60 for vocal music at Mata Sundri College for Women, nearly 40 for theatre at Miranda House and about 65 for dance at Bharati College on the first day.
These were the only four ECA categories for which trials were held on the opening day.

"The trials are set to continue till July 25. Allocations based on ECA trials are usually done along with the third round of admissions, so tentatively they are expected in the first week of August," she told PTI.
