Drug peddler arrested with 25 lakh cash, charas in J-K's Anantnag

Srinagar, Jun 9 (PTI) Police on Tuesday arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered Rs 25 lakh cash and 104 grams of charas like substance from his house in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag, officials said. They said searches were carried out at the residence of the accused, Farooq Ahmad Dar, following reliable information that he had concealed narcotics in his under-construction house at Tulkhan. "Police in Anantnag achieved a significant success by recovering 104 grams of charas-like substance and Rs 25.50 lakh in cash during a raid conducted at Tulkhan area of Bijbehara," an officer said.
