Dumka (Jharkhand), Jul 11 (PTI) A 48-year-old doctor was found dead in a room of a government building in Jharkhand's Dumka district on Saturday, police said. The doctor, along with his three friends, stayed at the Inspection Bunglow of the Irrigation department near Massanjore dam on Friday night, as they had plans to go to Tarapith in West Bengal the next day, a senior officer said. "His friends tried to wake him up in the morning, but he did not respond. Then, they called the police," Masanjore Police Station in-charge Avadhesh Kumar said. The doctor, identified as Shashi Dinkar Minz, was posted at Hazaribag Sadar Hospital, he said. Upon receiving the information, a police team visited the bungalow with a police team and summoned a local doctor for an examination. "The local doctor declared Minz dead. Still, Minz was taken to Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital for confirmation of his death," Kumar said. The family members have been informed, the officer said, adding that his friends said Minz was a patient of high blood pressure and diabetes. The exact cause of the death could be ascertained after the post-mortem examination, he added. PTI CORR SAN BDC
