New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) A Delhi court on Thursday said it will hear the submissions on charges against former AAP MLA Naresh Balyan and others in a Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) case on a daily basis from July 27 to August 7.
Special Judge Vishal Gogne pointed out that only one accused, Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu, is absconding, while others have been arrested.
"The court deems it appropriate that submissions on the charge are heard on a day-to-day basis from July 27 to August 7," the judge said.
"The accused persons may thereafter lead arguments on the charge in any order subject to mutual convenience," he added.
The case pertains to an organised-crime syndicate allegedly run by Sangwan.
Balyan was arrested in the case on December 4, 2024. The other accused in the case are Ritik alias Peter, Rohit alias Anna, Sachin Chhikara, Vijay Gahlot alias Kalu, Sahil alias Poli, Vikas Gehlot and Veenita. PTI MNR RC
