Jaipur, Jul 7 (PTI) BJP Rajasthan president Madan Rathore on Tuesday hit back at the Congress over remarks on the Ram temple donation issue, saying those who had opposed the temple's construction had no moral authority to question its management.
Rathore said the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has made it clear that all temple assets and offerings were safe and has disclosed details of its properties.
He said that the Ram temple was a matter of faith for lakhs of devotees and if any irregularity had occurred at any level, the law would take its course and those found guilty would be punished.
"There is no need for unnecessary political interference in such matters," Rathore said.
The BJP leader also criticised former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, saying the three-time former chief minister should focus on the condition of his own party instead of making "baseless statements".
He alleged that Gehlot had failed to address issues such as water and power supply, paper leak cases and administrative functioning during his tenure. PTI SDA KSS KSS
