CNG bus with 40 onboard catches fire on highway in Muzaffarnagar; no one hurt

Muzaffarnagar (UP), Jul 16 (PTI) Around 40 passengers had a narrow escape on Thursday when a CNG bus caught fire on the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway, officials said. The incident occurred in an area under the Mansurpur Police Station when the bus was headed to Meerut. Chief Fire Officer Anurag Kumar said the driver noticed smoke emanating and immediately asked all passengers to get out. Moments later, the bus caught fire. The fire brigade put out the fire, he said. No casualties or injuries were reported. The exact cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained, the fire officer added. PTI COR ABN VN VN
