Bomb threat to Noida DM office prompts security sweep

Noida, Jul 13 (PTI) The office of the Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate received a bomb threat via email on Monday, prompting a comprehensive search of the premises by multiple security agencies, police said. According to a statement issued by the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police, personnel from the local police, bomb disposal squad, fire brigade, anti-sabotage check team and dog squad carried out a thorough search of the office after the email was received. No suspicious object or other security concern was found during the search, the statement said. Police said vigilance was being maintained at the site and the cyber team was conducting a technical investigation into the email with "utmost seriousness and caution".
