Guwahati, Jul 10 (PTI) Three persons have been arrested and Yaba tablets worth Rs 3 crore seized from their possession in Assam's Sribhumi district, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.
The police seized around 30,000 Yaba tablets during the operation.
"Every shipment has a destination; this one was the police station. Kudos to @sribhumipolice for seizing 30,000 Yaba tablets worth approx Rs 3 cr and apprehending three accused," the chief minister said in a social media post.
"Business intercepted, courtesy: @assampolice," he added.
Yaba is illegal in the country because it contains methamphetamine, a Schedule II substance under the Controlled Substances Act. PTI DG DG ACD
