Itanagar, Jul 14 (PTI) The Indian Army distributed six portable toilets across Mottum, Sigar and Mebo in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, aiming to improve sanitation facilities and support community welfare in remote areas, officials said. The Army's Spearhead Gunners, under the aegis of the Spearhead Division, distributed the mobile toilets under 'Operation Sadbhavana', they said. As part of the initiative, three portable toilets were handed over to Mottum village to strengthen sanitation facilities for the local community, an official statement said. Two units were provided to the Government Primary School at Sigar to improve sanitation infrastructure for students and staff, while one mobile toilet was installed at the Mebo playground for the benefit of sportspersons, youth and the public during community events, it said. The initiative reflects the Spearhead Division's continued efforts to work closely with the civil administration and local communities to improve the quality of life in remote areas, the statement said. 'Operation Sadbhavana' remains focused on strengthening civil-military cooperation, building trust and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region, it added. PTI UPL RBT
