2 charred to death as car rams into truck in Bihar's Bodh Gaya

Patna, Jul 9 (PTI) Two unidentified persons were charred to death in the early hours of Thursday and another was critically injured, after their car collided with a truck in Bihar's Bodh Gaya district, officials said. The incident occurred around 1 am on the Patna-Dobhi Highway when the car hit the truck, and the latter's fuel tank caught fire, they said. “The subsequent blaze left two occupants of the car charred beyond recognition,” Bodh Gaya SHO Arvind Kumar Singh told PTI. The injured person has been taken to a Patna hospital for further treatment. “His family members have arrived. Details about the deceased persons, however, are not clear yet, although the car bore a Jharkhand registration number,” Singh said. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the truck driver is absconding and search is underway to trace him, police said. PTI CORR SUK RBT
