Amaravati, Jul 16 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav on Thursday said the Election Commission has achieved '100 percent digitization' of Enumeration Forms distributed to more than 4.16 crore electors across the state under the SIR of the electoral roll.
The enumeration period of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll began on June 15 in the southern state and was extended by 10 days until July 24.
According to the latest daily bulletin on the SIR shared today, Yadav said enumeration forms were distributed to all the electors -- 4.16 lakh in total.
Out of the total number of forms distributed, he said 4.16 lakh were digitised, indicating that 1,484 are still pending, though the CEO said 100 percent digitization has been achieved.
Over 46,397 Booth Level Officers (BLOs), 68,868 Booth Level Agents (BLAs), 175 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), 1,076 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and 28 District Electoral Officers (DEOs) were pressed into action to execute the massive exercise in a smooth, orderly and voter friendly manner, he said earlier.
During the enumeration phase, BLOs went door-to-door to distribute and collect the EFs.
On July 14, the poll body extended the SIR by 10 days in Andhra Pradesh, following a request from the CEO.
The EC extended door-to-door visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) up to July 24, which started on June 15 and was supposed to end on July 14 as per the original schedule.
Under the revised schedule, rationalisation and rearrangement of polling stations will be completed by July 24 and the draft electoral roll will be published on July 31.
Further, the poll body said claims and objections can be filed for a month from July 31 to August 30, followed by the notice phase and disposal of claims and objections from July 31 to September 28.
According to the EC, the final publication of the electoral roll will be done on October 10. PTI STH ROH
