Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)
PMMVY provides Rs 5,000 in 3 instalments to pregnant and nursing women (first live birth) for wage compensation, nutrition and health-seeking.

What you get
1st instalment: Rs 1,000 after early registration of pregnancy at Anganwadi/health centre (< 150 days). 2nd instalment: Rs 2,000 after at least 1 ANC and intake of IFA tablets for 180 days. 3rd instalment: Rs 2,000 after birth registration, BCG/OPV/DPT/Hepatitis-B vaccine. Direct to mother's Aadhaar-linked bank.
Who can apply
Pregnant and nursing women aged 19+ for first live birth. Government employees already covered under Maternity Benefit Act excluded.
For: Pregnant women 19+ years for first live birth
- Register within 150 days of pregnancy
- Aadhaar mandatory from 2nd instalment
- Visit health centre for ANC
