Savera Scheme — Jharkhand Support for Girl Students
Jharkhand provides free bicycle, uniform, and educational support to girl students in Classes 9–12 from SC/ST and BPL families.

What you get
Under the Savera (meaning "new dawn") scheme, girl students from SC, ST, and BPL families studying in government schools (Classes 9–12) receive: free bicycle (₹3,400 value), school uniforms, textbooks, and mid-day meals. Additionally, girls who complete Class 12 and enroll in higher education receive ₹10,000 per year for college support. The scheme aims to reduce dropout rates among girl students in Jharkhand's tribal belts (Santali, Mundari, and Oraon communities are primary beneficiaries).
Who can apply
- Girl student in Class 9–12 in government school in Jharkhand
- Must belong to SC, ST, or BPL family
- Family income below ₹1.5 lakh per year
- Attendance above 75% in previous year
