What you get

Cash benefit for first live birth: 1st instalment: Rs 1,000 - After early registration of pregnancy at AWC/health facility 2nd instalment: Rs 2,000 - After receiving at least one antenatal checkup (after 6 months of pregnancy) 3rd instalment: Rs 2,000 - After child is born, registered, and has received BCG, OPV, DPT, and Hepatitis-B vaccinations Total benefit: Rs 5,000 per eligible pregnancy Important: The Rs 6,000 under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) at institutional delivery adds up to Rs 11,000 total for institutional birth. The benefit is directly credited to the bank account of the beneficiary. Apply at: Nearest Anganwadi Centre (AWC) or health facility (PHC, CHC)

Who can apply

All pregnant women and lactating mothers of 19 years and above expecting their first child. Not applicable to women in regular employment with central/state government receiving similar paid maternity leave.
