What you get

One-time lump sum grant of ₹20,000 to eligible families. Payable within 45 days of application. Applies to death of primary breadwinner aged 18-64 years. Both accidental and natural death covered. Amount transferred directly to bank account.

Who can apply

BPL families where primary breadwinner (18-64 years) has died

For: Widows, surviving family members of deceased breadwinner

Income limit: Below poverty line

  • Claim must be filed within 1 year of death
  • Death certificate mandatory
  • Family must not have another regular income source
