Jal Jeevan Mission provides 55 litres per person per day piped tap water connection to every rural household in India — targeting 19 crore connections by 2024.

What you get
Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) providing 55 LPCD at prescribed quality. Water quality testing at household level. Village Water and Sanitation Committee (VWSC) for O&M. No upfront cost to household. Operations and maintenance nominal fee decided by Gram Panchayat.
Who can apply
All rural households without piped water supply. Priority to SC/ST households, PMGSY schools, Anganwadis, and health centres.
For: Rural households without tap water, SC/ST, women-headed households
