What you get
Under Orunodoi (meaning "dawn" in Assamese), the designated woman member of eligible families receives ₹1,250 per month directly in her bank account. Eligibility is based on income (below ₹2 lakh per year), land ownership (less than 2.5 bigha), and exclusion criteria (no government employees, income tax payers). The scheme prioritizes widows, divorced women, abandoned women, and women-headed households. As of 2024, ~21 lakh families are covered.

- Family annual income below ₹2 lakh
- Land holding below 2.5 bigha
- No member is a government employee or income tax payer
- Resident of Assam for at least 3 years
- Benefit given to designated woman member of household
