According to Abhinav, the message came from a user named Ankush Gupta and read:
“I’m from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. I know your address. Should I come over? Just like Salman Khan was shot at, I’ll come to your house and shoot you with an AK-47.” The message didn’t stop there—it included further warnings against speaking about Asim Riaz, saying, “This is your last warning. Before you say anything about Asim, your name will be on the list. Lawrence Bishnoi is with Asim.”
Connection to Altercation on Reality Show
The incident comes days after a confrontation between Abhinav Shukla and Asim Riaz on the sets of the reality show Battleground. As per reports, the two got into a heated argument, which escalated behind the scenes. Following this clash, Asim Riaz was reportedly asked to leave the show.
While the specifics of the altercation have not been publicly detailed by the production house, insiders say tensions had been building between the two actors during filming.
Rubina’s Public Stand: “My Silence Is Not My Weakness”
Rubina Dilaik, known for her composed public demeanor, broke her silence after the threat emerged. Taking to Instagram, she posted a message that read, “My silence is not my weakness! Don’t test my patience.” The post received widespread support from fans and industry colleagues, many of whom urged law enforcement to take swift action.
Her strong response underscored the seriousness of the situation and sent a clear message to the perpetrator and the public that such acts of intimidation would not be tolerated.
Abhinav Shukla Appeals to Police for Action
Abhinav Shukla responded promptly by sharing a screenshot of the message on his Instagram stories and tagging the Chandigarh and Punjab police. He urged the authorities to take immediate action against the person responsible.
“DEATH THREATS to my family! The person seems to be from Chandigarh/Mohali. Please act firmly & promptly. To anyone who recognises the person, please report,” he wrote.
His statement has since gone viral, with fans expressing concern for the couple’s safety and demanding accountability.
Previous Encounters with Online Harassment
This is not the first time Rubina and Abhinav have found themselves at the receiving end of online threats and harassment. In September 2022, Rubina disclosed that the couple had been facing sustained cyberbullying for over a year. She shared that these attacks were not random but seemed orchestrated by a person who allegedly harbored personal animosity toward them.
“After a year of constant harassment and threats, we recently figured (with the help of Police) that these (PAID) trollers are a mere pawn to someone who hates us SO MUCH that he/she is constantly living in a Hell-State wanting us to break apart,” Rubina wrote.
Troll Traced in Past Case
In a related revelation, Abhinav had earlier shared how a troll who had been harassing them was finally tracked down by Patiala Police. The troll had been sending abusive messages, tagging his female friends and family members, and issuing horrific threats, including ones involving acid attacks and vehicular harm.
“His messages were nasty, vilifying, and criminal in nature,” Abhinav told ETimes at the time. That incident ended with police intervention, and the couple had hoped the nightmare was behind them.
Larger Concerns About Cyberbullying and Safety
The latest threat has reignited conversations around cyber safety and the growing menace of online threats faced by public figures. Rubina and Abhinav’s ordeal reflects a disturbing pattern of escalating online abuse that often crosses over into real-world intimidation.
While police action is awaited in the current case, the couple’s bold stance serves as a wake-up call. Industry insiders are calling for stricter laws and enforcement against online threats and a more robust system of monitoring and penalizing such behavior.
Fans and Industry Rally in Support
Support continues to pour in from fans and celebrities, many of whom have urged authorities to act quickly and ensure the couple’s safety. As the investigation unfolds, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla remain vocal about their intent to fight back against cyberbullying and maintain their dignity amid threats.
Their resolve sends a strong message: fame does not mean forgoing safety or silence—and no one, regardless of who they support or oppose, has the right to issue threats.
