Amethi (UP), May 11 (PTI) A 30-year-old man died and two others were seriously injured when a pickup vehicle rammed into a divider on the Purvanchal Expressway in the district, police said on Sunday.

The accident took place near Satthin village when the pickup vehicle was carrying watermelons from Lucknow to Jaunpur.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Siraj (30), a resident of Barabanki district. The injured have been referred to the district hospital.

SHO of Shukul Bazar, Daya Shankar Mishra, said the body has been sent for postmortem. PTI COR NAV DV DV
