In a post, actor Rashmika Mandanna unveiled her first glimpse as Maharani Yesubai from the upcoming movie Chhaava. Maddock Films and Rashmika made a joint Instagram post on Tuesday. Rashmika will portray Maharani Yesubai in the movie.
Rashmika Mandanna’s initial appearance in Chhaava
Rashmika appeared in the posters wearing a saree and a lot of jewelry. In the initial poster, she grinned while covering her head. In the following poster, the actor was featured with a somber face.

Vicky Kaushal plays the main character in the historical drama. On February 14 of this year, Chhaava is scheduled to open in theaters. Vicky will portray Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the movie. Maharani Yesubai, also known as Chatrapati Maharani of the Maratha Kingdom, was the Maratha ruler’s wife.
The film, which was directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, also features Akshaye Khanna. Chhaava is touted as a “stirring tale of the courageous warrior whose coronation on this day in 1681 marked the beginning of a legendary reign.” The trailer will be released on Wednesday.
Vicky stated in one of his interview that his initial concern when the director first brought up the subject with him was if he would be able to honor the historical figure’s legacy. The first feeling is just, ‘Will I be able to do justice to such an incredible legacy?’ But that’s what excites me the most as well. Also, every opportunity like this, when you get a great man like Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, it is also a beautiful opportunity to understand their culture, their history, their values, their beliefs, and their love for the country,” the actor said.
