Gaya Son Valley Wheat Farming Bihar

Gaya district's Son river valley provides the irrigation backbone for wheat cultivation in the district's flat alluvial plains, with the Son Canal system irrigating tens of thousands of acres of rabi wheat that achieves 18-22 quintal per acre yields of HD-2967 and K-307 varieties.
