On completing 100 days in office, Delhi CM releases workbook with achievement list
New Delhi, May 30 (PTI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched a workbook on Friday, detailing her government’s achievements in the past 100 days and asserted that working round-the-clock for people’s well-being was its biggest accomplishment.
Titled ‘Kaam Karne Waali Sarkar: 100 Din Seva Ke’, the workbook highlighted various initiatives and projects undertaken by the government in Delhi, including Yamuna rejuvenation, implementation of Ayushman Bharat, Vay Vandana Yojana, boosting water supply through tankers and e-bus procurement.
It also mentioned lighting up of dark corners of the city, heat action plan implementation, and allocating Rs 500 crore for Delhi Fire Service, among others.
Addressing a press conference, Gupta asserted her government was dedicated to serving people round-the-clock and described the ‘workbook’ as a “living document”, chronicling Delhi’s development journey.
In addition, she announced a pamphlet summarising the government’s public welfare efforts that will be distributed to every household, ensuring that citizens are informed about how their government has been working with commitment and dedication.
She highlighted the workbook will be regularly updated to keep people informed about the progress of the government’s projects.
“Over the next 10 days, this workbook will be taken to all 70 assembly constituencies and every ward of Delhi through public meetings, allowing citizens to directly engage with the government’s efforts.
“These gatherings will also feature ministers, MLAs, councillors, and MPs who will not only share the government’s 100-day achievements but will also gather feedback and suggestions from the public for future plans,” she said.
Emphasising that the “decisive” and “impactful” actions taken in this period have the potential to bring meaningful change in Delhi, Gupta said these steps have strengthened the trust of people. “Day or night, the government has consistently worked on Delhi’s streets in the interest of the public.” The chief minister also announced that a grand public event will be organised at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on May 31, where the government will present a comprehensive account of its 100-day achievements to the people.
Gupta stressed that both Central and state governments are currently working in unison as a double-engine government to serve the people.
Attacking the previous AAP dispensation, Gupta alleged it squandered public funds by means of corruption, whereas the present government has prioritised public service.
“Those were the governments that sought fame; we are a government that delivers. They indulged in luxuries, while we are committed to service. They decorated palaces with corruption; we are shaping Delhi with integrity,” she said.
Sharing that her government had announced a budget of Rs 1 lakh crore for the 2025-26 fiscal, the chief minister assured people that the government was committed to spending it in a transparent manner.
The greatest outcome of this election for Delhi is that the people now have a government that truly works for them. “From now on, every step we take and every moment we spend will be dedicated to building a developed Delhi and a developed India.” After completing 100 days in office, the chief minister is likely to take a short two-day break to visit religious places in Uttarakhand in the first week of June, official sources said on Friday.
She is likely to visit Haridwar on June 1 where she will take a holy dip in the Ganga. Next day she will likely visit Kedarnath, they added.
“The chief minister is taking the break after following a hectic schedule in the first 100 days of her government. She is likely to be accompanied by her family members on the trip,” said a government source.
The BJP returned to power after 27 years, winning 48 of the 70 Assembly seats in the elections. Gupta took oath as the chief minister along with her council of ministers at a mega event at Delhi’s Ramlila Ground on February 20 which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
