Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 12 (PTI) The bodies of two Kerala natives who died in the tourist boat accident in Vietnam will be brought to Mumbai on Monday night before being flown to Thiruvananthapuram.
The mortal remains of A C Thomas (57) and his wife Loveni Thomas (56), natives of Kottarakkara in Kollam district, are expected to arrive at the Mumbai airport around 10 pm on Monday, the Chief Minister's Office said in a statement on Sunday.
The Kerala government's expatriate affairs agency, NORKA, will coordinate the transportation of the bodies from the Thiruvananthapuram airport to the couple's residence in Kottarakkara, it said.
The time of arrival of the mortal remains in Thiruvananthapuram will be announced later, the statement added.
The Kerala government on Saturday had confirmed that the couple were among those killed in the tourist boat accident in Vietnam.
According to media reports, 15 Indian tourists died in the mishap on Saturday.
The speedboat, carrying 32 Indian tourists and four crew members, capsized about 400 metres off Hon May Rut Ngoai, an island in the An Thoi archipelago off the coast of Phu Quoc. PTI LGK ROH
