Uttarakhand:Teenager among 4 killed after SUV hits scooter in Haldwani; two detained

Haldwani (U'Khand), Jul 12 (PTI) Four people were killed after a speeding SUV rammed into their scooter on a flyover here, police said on Sunday. The incident took place around 10 pm on Saturday on the Teenpani-Gaulapar bypass flyover. While three persons identified as Shivam (25), Anshu Arya (20), and Rahul Rajput (17) died on the spot, another person, Aditya Tamta (18), succumbed to injuries at the Sushila Tiwari Hospital later in the night, they said. All four were locals and returning home when the accident occurred, they said. Superintendent of Police (City) Manoj Katyal said two occupants of the SUV, including the driver, have been detained for questioning and the vehicle has been seized.
