Mirzapur (UP), Jul 8 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday offered prayers and performed rituals for about 20 minutes at the revered Maa Vindhyavasini Temple in Vindhyachal here, officials said.
The chief minister landed at the Pategaranala helipad in Vindhyachal, where he was received by Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel and senior officials before proceeding to the temple.
The Maa Vindhyavasini Temple, situated on the banks of the Ganga River, is one of the country's prominent Shakti Peeths and draws thousands of devotees, especially during the Navratri festivals.
Officials said Adityanath regularly visits the temple to offer prayers and review the progress of the Vindhya Corridor development project aimed at improving infrastructure and facilities for pilgrims. PTI COR ABN SMV RHL
