Two militants arrested in Manipur

Imphal, Jul 9 (PTI) Security forces have arrested two militants belonging to proscribed outfits from Manipur's Imphal East and Kakching districts, a police officer said on Thursday. A 27-year-old active cadre of the Kangleipak Communist Party (Peoples' War Group) was apprehended from Aihang village gate in Kakching district on Tuesday, he said. On Wednesday, a member of the banned Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) was arrested from Kalika Bamon Kampu in Imphal East district, he said. A pistol and a large stash of ammo were seized from his possession, the officer added. Further investigation is underway. PTI CORR RBT
