Two men drown in water-filled pit in Rajasthan's Barmer

Jaipur, Jul 17 (PTI) Two men drowned in a water-filled pit in Rajasthan's Barmer district on Friday, police said. The incident occurred near Daruda village, following which police and Civil Defence personnel reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the mortuary of the district hospital. The deceased were identified as Devaram and Kirataram, both in their 20s. They belonged to the same family, police said. According to a family member, one of the youths slipped and fell into the deep water-filled pit, and the other drowned while attempting to save him. PTI SDA NB NB
