Two killed, one injured in hit-and-run in UP's Amroha

Amroha (UP), Jul 17 (PTI) Two teenagers were killed and another seriously injured after an vehicle hit their motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha district, police said on Friday. The accident took place around 1 am when the three youths were travelling on a motorcycle were hit by a speeding vehicle, leaving all three riders critically injured. The motorcycle was also completely damaged in the accident. The injured were rushed to a hospital, where Prince (17), and Deepanshu (18), both residents of Jai Om Nagar under Amroha Kotwali, were declared dead. The third rider, Varun (19), son of Gulab Singh and a resident of Danish Mandan under Amroha Kotwali, was referred to a higher medical centre after his condition was found to be critical. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. The station house officer of Amroha Dehat police station said efforts were underway to identify the offending vehicle and its driver.
