Two killed as dumper hits motorcycle in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharswan

Seraikela, July 8 (PTI) Two persons were killed when a dumper hit their motorcycle in Jharkhand's Seraikela Kharswan district, police said on Wednesday. The two were returning home when the dumper rammed their motorcycle from behind near Chota Gamariah on Tuesday night, a police officer said. Twenty-two-year-old Md Nishar was killed on the spot under the impact of the collision, while Md Rehan (18), who sustained grievous injuries, was rushed to Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur, and succumbed to his injuries in the course of the treatment. A mob put up a road blockade for a while following the incident, but the police persuaded them to withdraw and cleared the road traffic. The driver of the truck managed to escape the scene. Police have impounded the truck as well as the motorcycle. PTI BS RG
