Two injured in leopard attack in Rajasthan's Tonk

Jaipur, Jul 20 (PTI) Two men were injured after a leopard attacked them in Rajasthan's Tonk district on Monday, officials said. The incident took place in Todaraisingh town, where the leopard attacked a man outside a liquor shop before jumping into the shop. The big cat then attacked a salesman inside the shop. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, officials said. Forest and police officials rushed to the spot and launched efforts to rescue the animal. A team equipped to tranquilise the leopard was also dispatched. Forest department officials said that a team from Jaipur Zoo reached the spot and tranquilised the wild cat, which is about 4 to 5 years old. A large crowd gathered outside the liquor shop following the incident, which created panic in the area. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera, the officials said. PTI SDA AG KSI KSI
