Agartala, Jul 10 (PTI) The two-day "Destination Tripura: Business Conclave 2026", organised by the state Industries and Commerce department here, attracted investment proposals worth Rs 1,21,303 crore, an official said on Friday.
Chief Minister Manik Saha had inaugurated the mega investment event on Thursday, which was also addressed virtually by Union Commerce and Industries Minister Piyush Goyal and DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
"There were over 2,731 plus registrations received for the two-day business conclave. Over 2,000 investors, both within the state and outside, attended the conclave from around 1,200 organisations," Industries & Commerce department secretary Kiran Gitte said at a press conference.
He said a total of approximately 342 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), including investment intents, were signed or submitted by participating investors expressing their intent to invest in various sectors with an estimated value of approximately Rs 1,21,303 crore as a primary estimate.
The power sector attracted the highest value of MoUs with Rs 31,080 crore, followed by industries and commerce-related MoUs fetching Rs 30,000 crore, according to an official release.
The conclave also attracted many blue-chip companies from diverse sectors, including Google, Salesforce, Aarvi (Jindal group) and Lulu Group International.
In the last business conclave held in 2025, total investment proposals amounting to Rs 30,000 crore were finalised, but only Rs 8,000 crore has been grounded so far. PTI PS RG
