Pakur, Jul 8 (PTI) A 21-year-old tribal woman was found dead with severe head injuries at her house in Jharkhand's Pakur district, police said on Wednesday.
She was alone at home on Tuesday night as her parents and other family members had gone out for work, Amrapara police station officer-in-charge Anup Roshan Bhengra said.
"When her family members returned on Wednesday morning, they found her dead," he told reporters.
Police said the victim had been married twice. She had two children from her first marriage in Jamkanali. After that marriage ended, she remarried in Bailbathan in Sahibganj district and had another child.
For the past two months, she had been living at her maternal home after leaving her second husband's house, police said.
The body has been sent to Pakur Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination.
"We are investigating all possible angles and are working to identify and arrest those responsible for the murder," the officer said. PTI ANB SOM
