Three killed, five injured as tractor-trolley collides with autorickshaw in MP

Morena (MP), Jul 13 (PTI) Three people were killed and five others sustained injuries after a tractor-trolley laden with stones crashed into an autorickshaw in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district on Monday, police said. The accident occurred around 10.30 am in the limits of Mata Basaiya police station, an official said. He said that the tractor-trolley loaded with stones collided with an autorickshaw carrying devotees from Banmore to the Mata Basaiya Temple. Mahendra Rathore (50), Manorama Rathore (45), and autorickshaw driver Ramkesh (26) were killed in the collision, Mata Basaiya police station in-charge Vivek Tomar said. Five others, including a two-year-old girl, were critically injured, police said. Tomar said that the tractor-trolley driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. A case has been registered, and a probe is underway to ascertain if the stones were being transported illegally, he added. PTI COR MAS ARU
